undefined RFP NP 3204 – Redevelopment of Opportunity Site on Pacific Avenue

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the redevelopment of an eight-acre site encompassing a six-block area generally located along Pacific Avenue between 3rd Street and 7th Street (Opportunity Site) in the Pacific Corridor Redevelopment Project Area (Project Area). CRA/LA does not own any properties within the Opportunity Site, but the City of Los Angeles owns several parcels there including scattered surface public parking lots, the historic Warner Grand Theater and the Croatian Cultural Center facilities.

CRA/LA is soliciting interest in developing residential (market rate and affordable) mixed-use projects with ground floor commercial uses that will complement the Warner Grand Theater and San Pedro’s 6th Street retail boutiques located in historic or architecturally ornate buildings. The RFP will also seek needed amenities (including a full-service, national-chain supermarket and public parking facilities) in support of a growing residential community in the Project Area.  Also, the Port of Los Angeles is currently formulating a long-term plan to redevelop 8 miles of San Pedro waterfront from the Vincent Thomas Bridge to the Federal Breakwater, presenting a unique possibility for the Opportunity Site to complement the Port’s redevelopment plans and operations.
