Description:
The GRAMMY Museum cost approximately $34 million and opened as a part of L.A. LIVE, a 4 million square foot/$2.5 billion sports, entertainment and residential district adjacent to the STAPLES Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center in the South Park district of Downtown. The Museum is located at Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street, where it offers four floors of interactive exhibits, as well as a place for educational gatherings and intimate concerts. The CRA/LA worked with L.A. LIVE developer Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), the parent organization for the GRAMMY Awards, on the design of the facility, as well as plans for its funding and operation.
