Description:

San Fernando Valley-based artists were called upon to create murals or other works of art utilizing a standard sheet of plywood. Artwork panels by 37 artists were installed for a period of 6 months during 2003 on chainlink fencing surrounding vacant lots between the MTA Metro Red Line Station and the NoHo Arts District. The project was jointly sponsored by CRA/LA, Councilmember Tom LaBonge, and the MTA's Construction Division. Participating aritsts included: Amos Meeks, Amy Roth, Amy Womack, Anita Hamlin, Bob Newham, Charlene Roth, Daniel Pennignton, Denise Dalzell Berstein, Dover Abrams, Edith Abeyata, Elizabeth Mathias, James Schendel, Jill Peterson, Jodi Bonasi, Joseph Leo Bwarie, Ken Bryant and Barbara Nance, Larry Robertson, Leonard Bermudez, Lisa Matsuura Walker, Lucia Affentranger, Mahara Sinclaire, Mary Kay Wilson, Melissa Ficociello, Michael Neiter, Nicole Charbonneau White, Onnik Havanesian, Paul Perner, Preston Craig, Ralph Ramirez Kacy, Richard Doran, Shelley Stevens, Shoshana Brand, Susan Krieg, and Wonie Okundaye Jones.
