The Project Area Committee for the Adelante Eastside Redevelopment Project (PAC) is an elected body; its purpose is to consult with and advise the CRA/LA on policy matters which affect the residents of the Project Area. CRA/LA staff meets monthly with the PAC, in publicly noticed meetings, to review progress on approved work program activities, and to seek its review and recommendations on certain matters requiring action by the CRA/LA Board of Commissioners.
PAC members are elected for 3-year terms. The next election is scheduled for February 2010. Membership on the PAC is subject to Council-approved PAC Election Procedures and provides for representation among five categories of community stakeholders:
- Residential Owner Occupant;
- Residential Tenant;
- Business Property Owner or Tenant (Non-Manufacturing/Non-Industrial);
- Manufacturing/Industrial Business Owner; and,
- Existing Community Organization.
