•         CRA/LA staff issues RFP for Environmental Consultant Services - 3/11/10

•         Plan amendment consultant begins physical blight survey - 1/7/10

•         CRA/LA convenes the first Steering Committee Meeting - 3/25/10

Activities

•         Approximately 75% of the physical blight survey has been completed by the consultant.

•         CRA/LA staff received (6) responses to the RFP for Environmental Consulting Services and is currently evaluating the proposals.

•         Two (2) community wide meetings on the proposed Plan Amendment were held on Thursday, November 5th and Saturday, November 7th.

•         A non-traditional outreach strategy targeting parents at local elementary schools has been launched including meetings at four elementary schools.

•         Resident and business surveys have been distributed to approximately 250 community stakeholders.

Next Steps

•         Initiate drafting of the Redevelopment Plan goals & objectives.

•         Complete physical blight survey.

•         Transmit preliminary plan to the City Planning Commission for consideration.

•         Execute contract for Environmental Consultant Services.
