Recognizing that significant public participation is necessary to ensure that the plan amendment reflects a shared community vision for the future of Wilmington, the CRA/LA formed the Wilmington Plan Amendment Steering Committee on March 25th, 2010. Steering Committee members were appointed by Councilwoman Janice Hahn and represent residents, businesses, and community based organizations from Wilmington.
Steering Committee meetings are always open to the public. In addition, the CRA/LA will continue to hold community meetings and workshops, as well as distribute resident and business surveys to allow for greater public participation.
