Description:
The Program was created by the CRA/LA on August 17, 2006 to eliminate the blighted appearance of physically deteriorated and underutilized buildings containing numerous empty storefronts; located within the Pacific Corridor Redevelopment Project Area (click here for Project Area map). The Program is designed to provide conditional grants, loans, and other incentives to attract new businesses and create or retain jobs with an emphasis to re-energize Downtown San Pedro. Existing businesses that may need façade renovation assistance are also encouraged to apply.
Who can apply for funds:
Commercial property owners or business tenants with a minimum five-year lease are eligible to apply. A condition of the Program is a commitment to maintain the CRA/LA financed improvements for a minimum of five-years.
