Description:
The streetscape program includes tree trimming / removal, tree replacement as needed with Chinese Flame, retrofitting of disabled ramps, repairs of defective gutters and sidewalks, stamped Victorian houses and recycled glass paver borders along the sidewalk, Duratherm stamped crosswalks at three intersections, gateway signs and banners, installation of street furniture (benches and trash receptacles).

Street Pico Boulevard Streetscape Program will provide for improvements along the 1.4 mile of Pico Boulevard from the Harbor Freeway to Hoover Street, encompassing both the Pico Union Redevelopment Project Areas No. 1 & 2.

$1,618,187 (Streetscape Improvements Program has been financed by CRA/LA as well as MTA 2001 Call for project for Bureau of Street Services).
Redevelopment Purpose:
The Pico Union Boulevard Streetscape program is essential for revitalization of the community by removing the current deteriorated infrastructure, along Pico Boulevard to promote a positive, clean and safe community image.
