Proposed Council District Nine Corridors Recovery Redevelopment Plan Amendment & Expansion

Please join us and bring your ideas, share your concerns, and help us create a plan for change.

Since 1995, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA) has been working with the Community to bring new investment into the Council District Nine Corridors Recovery Redevelopment Project Area (Project Area).  The Project Area covers 2,817 acres of primarily commercial and industrial corridors.

By expanding the Project Area, CRA/LA, in partnership with the community, can address the many challenges facing the residential areas of Council District 9, including incompatible land use, disrepair of buildings and other structures, inadequate infrastructure and contamination, while simultaneously spurring reinvestment within the commercial corridors.  A larger Project Area would also increase CRA/LA's capacity to leverage its resources in order to more effectively plan and implement key improvements throughout the Project Area, including residential neighborhoods, and attract private sector investment.
