Request for Developer Proposals: NP-12498 Commercial Opportunity Sites Program: Industrial Land Available in the Wilmington Industrial Park
The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles is seeking proposals from qualified companies and developers for the development of an industrial facility designated for labor intensive employment uses on CRA/LA-owned land in the Los Angeles Harbor Industrial Center Redevelopment Project Area, commonly known as the Wilmington Industrial Park (WIP) in Wilmington, California.

The Wilmington Industrial Park (WIP) is a 232-acre industrial center located in the City of Los Angeles. Current efforts are underway to attract new business into the WIP that will bring with it new jobs, particularly for residents of Wilmington and contribute to the economic vitality of the harbor area and the greater Los Angeles region.

Jenny Scanlin Jenny Scanlin is the Regional Administrator for CRA/LA’s Downtown, Eastside and Harbor Regions. The Downtown Region is comprised of the Bunkerhill, Central Industrial, Chinatown, City Center, Council District 9 and Little Tokyo project areas. The Harbor Region is comprised of Beacon Street, Pacific Corridor, and LA Harbor Industrial Center Redevelopment project areas.  The Eastside Region is comprised of the Adelante Eastside and Monterey Hills project areas.

With the Harbor Region, there are three redevelopment project areas, including the Beacon Street Redevelopment Project area, the L.A. Harbor Industrial Center Redevelopment Project and the Pacific Corridor Redevelopment Project area. The CRA/LA has established eight priority projects for this region.

 

Create new economic and employment opportunities for San Pedro and Wilmington, taking full advantage of its location next to the Los Angeles Harbor and provide quality designed new housing opportunities to a variety of income groups.

 

 

The Harbor Region serves the communities of San Pedro and Wilmington. The LA Harbor Industrial Project in Wilmington is located just north of the Port of Los Angeles and south of Anaheim Street. The San Pedro Project Areas of Beacon Street and Pacific Corridor are located at the terminus of the 110 Harbor Freeway, 25 miles south of Downtown Los Angeles.
